Going to Ibiza Solo: The Best Group Trips and Party Tours for Solo Travellers

Going to Ibiza solo is one of those ideas that sounds slightly unhinged for about five minutes and then suddenly makes complete sense.

Because really, what are you waiting for? Three friends to get the same annual leave approved? Someone to finally commit in the group chat? Everybody to magically have the same budget, dates and music taste?

You could be waiting forever.

Ibiza is one of the best places in Europe to travel solo because half the island is there to do exactly the same thing you are: go out, meet people, see huge DJs, spend the day by the pool and have one of those weeks that feels completely removed from normal life.

The only problem is that Ibiza can be surprisingly difficult to organise properly when you're doing it alone. The clubs are spread across the island. Taxis get expensive. The best events sell out. Accommodation in the wrong part of Ibiza can make everything harder. And while you can absolutely turn up solo and meet people, having an actual crew from day one makes Ibiza a very different experience.

That's why we built the AWAKE Ibiza Tour.

AWAKE Tours runs group trips for 18 to 39-year-olds who want to travel somewhere incredible, experience the best nightlife and actually have people to experience it with. Our Ibiza trip is six days based right in San Antonio, staying at Ibiza Rocks and taking in some of the biggest names and venues on the island. You can come alone, most people come solo!!

Is Ibiza Good for Solo Travellers?

Very. Ibiza is probably one of the easiest party destinations in Europe to arrive at without knowing anyone.Every summer, people fly in from around the world for the clubs, beaches, pool parties and music. Nobody thinks it's strange that you've come by yourself. The bigger issue is logistics.Ibiza looks small on a map, but the places you actually want to go are scattered around the island.

Ushuaïa is in Playa d'en Bossa.

Hï Ibiza is directly across from it.

Amnesia sits inland between Ibiza Town and San Antonio.

DC10 is down near the airport.

Then you have places like O Beach, Ibiza Rocks and Café Mambo around San Antonio.

You can absolutely organise all of that yourself. But if you are travelling solo, paying for taxis alone, trying to work out which nights are worth booking and hoping you'll meet a group going to the same places, it can get expensive and messy pretty quickly. ( and pool parties aren't that fun alone tbh! ) Going as part of an Ibiza group trip takes a lot of that off your plate.

What the AWAKE Ibiza Trip Is Actually Like

This isn't an Ibiza sightseeing tour with matching lanyards and an 8am meeting point. The whole point is to give you the big Ibiza experiences without turning the week into a school excursion. We stay at Ibiza Rocks, right in San Antonio, which means you're already based inside one of the island's best-known party hotels. The hotel runs its own pool parties and DJ events throughout summer, so even when there isn't something formally planned, you're not exactly stuck staring at the hotel wall.

Then we build the week around Ibiza. Your first big event is Ushuaïa Ibiza, one of the island's most famous outdoor venues. Think huge DJs, festival-style production and thousands of people packed into an open-air club while it's still daylight. Entry is included in the AWAKE tour.

There is also a full day at O Beach Ibiza, where the AWAKE group has VIP tables and drinks included.

Another day is built around Ibiza Rocks, again with VIP tables and included drinks, followed by a night around San Antonio and the West End.

And then there is the private AWAKE catamaran day, because if you're going all the way to Ibiza, at some point you should probably be on a boat in the Mediterranean with your mates.

The rest of the week leaves enough freedom to actually choose your own Ibiza as well.

The Ibiza Clubs You Need to Know

You don't go to Ibiza without hearing the names Ushuaïa, Hï Ibiza, Amnesia and DC10.

Even if you've never been before, these are the venues that come up over and over again when people talk about Ibiza nightlife.

Ushuaïa Ibiza is the big daytime-into-evening outdoor experience. It feels closer to a festival than a traditional nightclub and is one of the easiest venues to recognise instantly from Ibiza videos.

It's included in the AWAKE itinerary.

Then directly across the road is Hï Ibiza, one of the biggest clubs on the island and regularly home to huge international DJs.

Hï is not automatically included in the AWAKE package, but depending on the week's lineup, it's one of the obvious options for a free night.

The same goes for Amnesia.

Amnesia is proper old-school Ibiza. Massive rooms, huge electronic lineups and nights such as Elrow depending on the season.

Then there is DC10, the legendary club close to Ibiza Airport.

DC10 has a completely different feel again. Less polished, more underground, and one of those places people who really love electronic music tend to talk about differently.

On the AWAKE Ibiza trip, those clubs are there as options during your free time depending on what events and artists are running that week.

That's the part we like.

You get a proper itinerary, but you still get to choose your own nights too.

Why Ibiza Is Better With a Group

You can go to Ibiza by yourself. But Ibiza is one of those places where the people you're with become part of the trip almost immediately.

The pre-drinks.

Everyone getting ready at the hotel.

Meeting at the pool.

Trying to get the entire group out the door.

Someone announcing they've bought tickets to something nobody had planned.

Running into half the group again at 4am.

That is Ibiza.

And it's why joining an Ibiza group tour makes so much sense for solo travellers.

You don't need to spend your first two days trying to make friends quickly enough to have someone to go clubbing with.

You arrive and the group already exists.

Some people come with one friend.

Some come with a partner.

A lot come alone.

Once the trip starts, nobody really cares who arrived with who.

Where Should You Stay in Ibiza If You Want to Party?

For nightlife, most people end up looking at three main areas: San Antonio, Ibiza Town and Playa d'en Bossa.

Playa d'en Bossa puts you close to Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza.

Ibiza Town has the marina, restaurants, bars and easy access to several major clubs.

San Antonio has its own huge nightlife scene, sunset spots and venues such as Ibiza Rocks and O Beach.

AWAKE stays at Ibiza Rocks in San Antonio, putting the group right in the middle of the action.

For this style of trip, that matters.

You're not staying somewhere quiet and then travelling forty minutes every time you want to do something.

You can walk out of the hotel and already be in one of Ibiza's main party areas.

Is Ibiza Expensive When You're Travelling Solo?

Yes.

This is probably the part of Ibiza TikTok doesn't show you enough.

Ibiza can be very expensive in peak summer.

Hotel prices go up.

Club tickets add up.

Taxis add up.

Drinks definitely add up.

When you're travelling with other people, you can split accommodation and transport.

When you're alone, you're often paying for everything yourself.

That's another reason group travel can work well here.

On the AWAKE Ibiza trip, your accommodation is already organised, private transfers to included events are covered, your Ushuaïa ticket is included, your O Beach and Ibiza Rocks VIP table experiences are included, and the catamaran day is included.

So you're not landing on the island and suddenly realising you still need to buy your entire week.

Is Ibiza Only for People in Their Early 20s?

No.

This is probably one of the biggest misconceptions about Ibiza.

Ibiza has a much broader age range than the classic backpacker party destinations.

The island attracts people throughout their 20s and 30s and well beyond that, especially at the major clubs.

AWAKE Tours is specifically built for travellers aged 18 to 39.

So if you're 28, 31, 34 or 38 and wondering whether Ibiza is somehow too young for you, absolutely not.

You're going to be fine.

Is Ibiza Good for Solo Female Travellers?

Ibiza attracts solo female travellers every summer.

Like anywhere with a huge nightlife scene, you still need to be sensible.

Watch your drinks, know how you're getting home, stay aware of your surroundings and don't assume that being on holiday suddenly makes basic safety disappear.

One of the nice parts about doing Ibiza with a group is simply having people around.

You're travelling to events together.

You're coming back together.

There is a group chat.

People know where the group is heading.

For women who want to travel alone but don't necessarily want to spend every night navigating Ibiza completely alone, that can make a massive difference.

What Is Included on the AWAKE Ibiza Tour?

The current AWAKE Ibiza experience includes your Ibiza Rocks accommodation, entry to Ushuaïa, O Beach with VIP tables and drinks, Ibiza Rocks VIP tables and drinks, a private catamaran experience, private transfers to included events and an AWAKE tour guide.

There are also additional Ibiza Rocks events included during the stay. The exact order can change depending on the artists and events running during your week, because that's Ibiza. The lineup changes. The parties change. The week moves around what's actually happening on the island.

Is an Ibiza Group Tour Worth It If You're Travelling Alone?

If the reason you're going to Ibiza is the nightlife, the music and meeting people, yes.

You could definitely book a hotel by yourself and work everything out when you arrive.

But if you're already spending the money to fly to Ibiza, the question is whether you want to spend the week organising logistics or actually experiencing it.

For solo travellers especially, an organised Ibiza party tour gives you something that is hard to put a price on.

You land with plans.

You have somewhere good to stay.

You know which events you're doing.

And you already have people to go with.
